A very interesting project resolving the notorious Old Street Roundabout and the station’s access arrangements. Fereday Pollard lead the multidisciplinary design team working in close collaboration with TfL which included Urban Movement and Tony Gee & Partners. Steering the new proposals through from Feasibility to Optioneering stages and then onto stakeholder review including the Mayors Design Advisory Group, the local authority, public groups and ultimately the successful planning application for the first intervention at Cowper Street. The designs included a safer junction, new access structures to the underground station and shopping areas below ground and ultimately a new and vibrant pedestrian focused public space and accessible urban landmark in the centre of London.https://www.feredaypollard.com/projects/old-street-roundabout
