Old Street Iconic Gateway

Fereday Pollard join longlisted entries for the Old Street Iconic Gateway ‘Open Call for Design Ideas’!

Have your say on 39 innovative ideas for “iconic gateway” for Old Street!!

Old Street Roundabout is changing. The existing roundabout will be removed and a two-way traffic system reintroduced, leading to the creation of a new pedestrianised public space.

In December 2017, Islington Council, together with the Mayor of London, Transport for London (TfL) and Hackney Council, issued an ‘Open Call for Design Ideas’ to create an iconic gateway at Old Street. The purpose of this open call was to seek creative and innovative design ideas from a range of disciplines and partnerships, including design, architecture, art, planning and technology in the redesign of this space.

The public exhibition is being held right on the doorstep of the existing roundabout at 3 Old Street Yard, behind the new White Collar Factory development. Please note the exhibition will not be open on weekends.
